Hi!  Madison here…My blog is mostly about giving Maid Of Honor Speech tips.  But I thought it would be a great idea to look at this from a Matron Of Honor’s point of view.  Why?  Because difference is the Matron of Honor is already married and you already have a head start.  You can think back to your own wedding and remember what was said.

First tip is Plan your speech! And don’t wait until the last minute.  Or nervousness could set it in come wedding day.  When it comes to putting your speech together just think about your wedding. Think about the speech that your maid or matron of honor gave then.

I’m sure your special day was most likely a flurry of activity filled with lots of things to do,  but surely you can remember some details from the speech. Remember what stood out from the maid of honor speech that meant something to you. Also, think about what you might have rather been said too.

By remembering what meant so much to you, you can tailor your wedding speech to a finer detail. Maybe you can think of funny stories from when your times together, or a touching moment when you told your Maid of Honor that you found that hot hunk of a husband. You might even know the perfect quote that applied to your own wedding that you could use for your speech.

Well, no matter how you decide to create the speech, as the matron of honor, you will be able to say something that has great meaning to the new bride and groom.

If you are like me, you may naturally nervous speaking in front of a big crowd. Just remember that, like a Maid Of  Honor Speech, your speech does not have to be stiff and formal. It can be funny or heartwarming, and it definitely should be marked with emotion since it is an emotional moment for the bride and groom. Just let the words come out naturally and speak in your own voice.

Another way to cure nervousness and stress is don’t focus on what you “think” should be said.  Just draw from your own personal experiences and memories.  When you do this, you will create the perfect speech without even realizing it.
